smart industrial resin floor execution reduces construction cycle time / plant down time

SureBond's industrial floor and cove execution plans produce cost reduction wins for the Client and GC.

NEW CONSTRUCTION resin floor execution

SureBond has two power carts for 208/480/600 volt feeds.

SureBond’s two power distribution carts simplify our power needs when dealing with operating plant renovations or new builds with General Contractors.

For new construction, we will work with the Contractor schedule to work as early as possible in your construction cycle. Why? Less people - less trades on-site equals less trade coordination versus a late flooring installation. Our floors are industrial in nature. Our SureBond floors can take the use and abuse of most construction activities and conditions. With minimal surface protection, construction can still proceed on top of our installed floor without damage. SureBond has successfully installed our floors in one new food plant when trades were only 10% of peak, on a slab that was approximately 28 days curing at 5C to 10C. With our methodology, our early flooring work does not impede the intense Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation trades near the end of the project. SureBond CAN shorten your construction cycle time with our approach

Typically, General Contractors can give SureBond a section of floor for 2 days. Day 1 is surface prep. After Day 2, we turn the completed floor, over for FULL construction access. Forklifts, manlifts, pallet jacks, dirt: our Sillikal® floor can take it. Our floor is FULLY cured 1 hour after completion due to our use of only Silikal® resins. We will provide guidance as to activities that require some care, such as painting, caulking, and welding activities to minimize the risk of damage to our new floors.

industrial floor Renovations in the Real World: minimizing downtime

Brick tile has black mold contamination in and under the brick.

SureBond has the surface prep tools to remove brick with all black mold. The result is consistent bonding that has never failed so far when combined with the SILIKAL® RU380 and R41 priming systems.

This food plant floor weekend renovation was fully cured one hour after completion.

This food plant floor demolition and floor installation was completed in one weekend. Heavy process equipment was then rolled on top of the fully cured SILIKAL® R61 floor only one hour after completion.

80% to 90% of SureBond’s work is demolishing resin and brick, or tile floors of others, and having to mechanically de-contaminate / prep slabs. Most of that work is on a 1 to 2 day weekend shut down basis. New construction is easy; renovations are difficult and intense.

We need to understand Client business processes, daily operations / maintenance / sanitation processes, and hygienic constraints. If there is a Client will, SureBond will demonstrate a way to show you that we CAN do the work and produce a reliable, floor fit for lifecycle use!

All plants we work in have WIP (Work In Progress) and Finished goods within while performing our work. Our Silikal® resins do have a pungent odour when applied. However, that odour disappears in a ventilated environment in one hour, as the Silikal® resin is FULLY cured. We have NEVER had a finished product or Work-In-Progress taint issue because of this rapid cure of materials. Silikal® resins are safe for your plant or processing environment, your clients, and your employees! EU studies have proven this fact.

Our renovation success always comes from three pillars: People, Process, and Technology. Our Technology is centered around exclusive use of Silikal® resins and our Process involves the best equipment available for safe demolition of resins and silica containing materials. One of our removal pieces of equipment is the only one of its kind in Canada, and one of about 11 in North America (2022). All of our walk behind and hand tools are operated with HEPA 11 vacuums to capture silica.

However, our People remain the core of our success. We have an experienced, long term team that leverages efficient equipment operation to achieve what most people feel are impossible projects.

By the way, the replacement floor is still in-service or warranty call, with no failure since 2019.
