THE LAST resin industrial commercial hygienic FLOOR YOU WILL ever NEED

Want a industrial commercial resin floor that works for 10 - 20+ years?

When I meet a new client, I tell them we can achieve that performance goal. They don’t believe me, and have told me they have heard those promises over and over before. I have to bring them out to look at our “old floors” to show them what we have done.

Our first SureBond floors were in hemodialysis utility rooms in Calgary, in 2006. The chemicals used in the dialysis cleaning / laundry process were destroying sheet vinyl floors in less than 6 months. We installed our floors in very tight time frames, with no experience. We had only 24 hours to do the work. You CANNOT be late on opening, as patients are booked in dedicated slots from morning to night. After 14 years of use, I checked on both project floors. The manager confirmed that both dialysis floors were in perfect shape. No peeling. No chemical damage. No maintenance ever performed to date by us or anyone.

After 10 years, a large Hutterite colony poultry processing facility has spent an aggregate of ONLY 4% of their initial capital cost for maintenance “freshen up” of their SureBond Silikal® floor. What did I notice when I walked into the plant after 10 years? This plant had ZERO odour from food processing contamination. Food plants usually have a smell. That usual smell largely comes from the contaminated urethane or epoxy floors.

After 10 years, a major railway client has made zero call backs or maintenance requests for our original floor installation on a new slab as well as a 30+ year old, oil contaminated slab. Was there impact abuse? You bet. A few big holes. 0% of the original install spent on maintenance in 10 years. Did these holes cause any peeling? No. Any slips and falls? No. Client happy? Very.

SureBond has installed floors in Hygiene Critical™ (health, veterinary, dairy, food) and industrial environments since 2006. Our floors are still in-service today on 99+% of the projects we have installed since 2006. Why? They were designed, surface prepared, and installed as “fit for Lifecycle use” using quality management principles.

All SureBond floors were installed with the intent of matching the lifecycle of the application, with periodic maintenance as required to deal with abuse, and any wear-and-tear. We have proven that the SureBond Silikal® floors that we have installed have been “fit for Lifecycle use”. That means, there are typically no End of Life considerations for our floor systems we install for Silikal® of Germany. SureBond’s Silikal® floors do not end up in a landfill.

What we install today can typically be repaired without demolition, and usually in one to several hours. Such a repair is ready for FULL use 1 hour after completion: water, heat, cold, forklifts, sanitation chemicals. The Silikal® resins cure very quickly, as the resin systems are MMA (methyl methacrylate) based. They are not slow-curing epoxy or polyurethane-based systems. Are we having to do much repair of our Silikal® floors since 2005? No. We usually spend our weekends removing the failed epoxy and polyurethane floors installed by others, and installing small sections of Silikal® floors each time.

Our work starts with the BOND to the substrate. We will not continue if we do not get that bond. That is our promise. This is why we are SureBond Safe Floors.
